Terms of Service

1. Using Reelgenics

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create a Reelgenics account. If you're using Reelgenics on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have authority to bind that organization to these terms. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, so keep your credentials confidential and tell us immediately at hello@reelgenics.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or yearly cycle through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from account settings; your plan stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, and we don't prorate or refund partial periods. Fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy or where required by law.

• Credit packs and add-ons are billed alongside your subscription and follow the same non-refund rule once the billing period starts.
• We may change plan pricing going forward; we'll notify you before any change takes effect on your next renewal.
• Failed payments may result in a pause or downgrade of your account until billing is resolved.

3. Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the videos, audio, and other material you upload ("Your Content"), and to the clips, captions, and exports Reelgenics generates from it. You grant Reelgenics a limited, worldwide license to host, process, transcode, and analyze Your Content solely to provide and improve the service for you, for example to detect clip-worthy moments, generate captions, or reframe for a platform. This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, subject to our Privacy Policy's retention rules.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Reelgenics for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful, and specifically not to:

• Upload content you don't own or don't have the rights and permissions to process and republish.
• Use the service to produce defamatory, infringing, hateful, or sexually exploitative material.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or source code.
• Interfere with, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account.
• Use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data from the service outside of the documented API.

5. Intellectual Property

Reelgenics and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in the Reelgenics software, models, designs, and branding, excluding Your Content. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets except as allowed in our Media & Brand Assets page.

6. Publishing to Third-Party Platforms

Reelgenics' scheduler can publish clips to connected third-party platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Those platforms have their own terms of service and content policies, which you're responsible for following. Reelgenics isn't responsible for how a connected platform handles, ranks, or removes content you choose to publish through it, or for changes those platforms make to their own APIs.

7. Termination

You may stop using Reelgenics and cancel your subscription at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, don't pay fees when due, or if required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

8. Disclaimers

Reelgenics is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that clip selection, captions, or virality scores will be error-free or achieve any particular result.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reelgenics and its officers, employees, and licensors won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service or legal requirements. We'll post the revised terms here and update the "Last updated" date; material changes will also be announced by email or in-app notice. Continuing to use Reelgenics after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
